Typographic Portrait
This typography portrait portfolio showcases my ability to create visually compelling portraits using a unique blend of typography and illustration. In this collection, I particularly focus on exploring my own Colombian identity through this combined approach. I use text and imagery to capture my heritage, cultural influences, and personal experiences. I'm interested in creating typographic portraits with illustrative elements for projects that celebrate diversity and cultural richness.

The first step in creating my typography portrait will be to develop a mood board. This visual roadmap will help me explore ideas and establish a cohesive direction for the project. Since the portrait will be of myself, I'll incorporate elements that represent my personality, hobbies, and Colombian heritage. To capture these aspects, I'll brainstorm a list of description words that resonate with me, like "alegre" (joyful) and "creativa" (creative). Additionally, I'll seek out other words that describe my experiences and cultural influences. Finally, I'll create a limited color palette of 3–4 colors. The chosen colors will not only be visually appealing but also evoke specific emotions related to my theme. For example, a bright yellow might represent joy.
The next step was to plan the first round of typographic portrait sketches, exploring typefaces and colors.
The next step is to go digital
From digital design to stunning print.
